About Us

The Mathews Land Conservancy was formed in 1993 as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt, non-profit Virginia corporation. Our goal is to acquire and develop properties that enrich the public through environmental preservation, hands-on experience and education. Our focus is to beautify and enhance the community while positively stimulating business and preserving local history and culture.

The MLC is headquartered at Williams Wharf Landing in Mathews County and is governed by a Board of Directors:
